In Amhara Region, the Oromo Ethnic Administrative Zone Police Department of Jile Tamuga district conducted a performance review of the 2018 plan and a forum to introduce the 2019 plan.
Commander of the district police office, Commander Muhammad Ali, who was present at the forum, said that last year, due to the great efforts made to maintain peace in the district, he was able to reverse the dangers faced by the community.
Commander Mohammad added that a better plan for 2019 has been prepared based on last year's performance and said that we are ready to secure the peace and security of the people in 2019.
The report of the implementation of the 2018 plan of the office has been presented. According to this, it has been possible to reverse the security risks facing the society through the great efforts made to establish peace. It has been stated that the rural kebeles, who were under threat, have returned to peaceful activities and development almost completely.
The work of stopping the conflict of extremist groups by coordinating with the neighboring districts has been given attention. In particular, the document indicated that the terrorist "Shene and Fano" had been cleared by the security forces of the entire Kebeles in our district.
It has been raised that there is a need to strictly control the illegal transfers of people, money and equipment that take place in the region.
Finally, organizing the police institution with modern technology, producing up-to-date police members and empowering members through training were the main goals of the next year.
