The 28th Ordinary Session of the 5th Phase of the Oromo People's Administrative Council has begun.
The Chief Administrator of the Oromo National Administration, Mr. Ahmed Ali, said that the 25-year transitional plan was planned during the past fiscal year.
The report of the meeting highlighted the following issues:➲Development and Infrastructure: Basic community needs such as water, electricity and roads have been answered. Also, an irrigation project to develop 233 hectares of land is being constructed at a cost of Birr 393 million.
➲ Peace and Security: Peace has been ensured through joint work with neighboring districts and people's struggle. The militants took advantage of the opportunity to return to peace and security was restored in the region.
➲ Agriculture and Productivity: Extensive transformation work is being done to move farmers from waiting for assistance to productivity.
